The CCU provides services for patients requiring primarily surgical patients or patients with serious cardiac conditions requiring specialized services of coronary care.

The Registered Professional Nurse III (RPN III) provides nursing treatment and educational service for specific individualized age appropriate patient care of the pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patient population; develops and implements nursing care plans with other disciplines; determines priorities of care based on physical and psychosocial needs of patients, as well as factors influencing patient flow through the system; communicates with the attending physicians regarding changes in patient’s status, symptomatology and results of diagnostic studies; responds quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment and other duties as assigned.
