JOB FUNCTIONS: The Regional Director of Nutrition Food Services Operations directs the culinary program for HHSC Kaua’i Region. The service lines include retail, catering, long‐term care meals, and patient room service. This position is expected to plan, develop and implement quality plans for each program; manages and supervises the overall department to include staffing, performance appraisals; department budgets; and clinical dietary programs. This position may require travel to and from various facilities within the region based on operational needs. The Regional Director of Nutrition Food Services Operations will report directly to the Regional Chief Executive Officer (RCEO), position no. 109678, or its designee.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Culinary, Food Service/Management is preferred. Equivalent experience and/or Culinary Arts Certificate is acceptable.

Experience: Five (5) years of experience in food service supervisory/management with a strong background in leadership skills, staff training and development, quality management, and resource management. Successful track record partnering with clinical and administrative staff. Food service experience in healthcare within the past two (2) years is highly desirable.

Certification: Certified Dietary Manager (CDM), Certified Food Protection Professional (CFFP) to be obtained within eighteen (18) months of employment; Certified Food & Beverage Executive (CFBE) is desirable.
