The Registered Professional Nurse (RPN) IV is responsible for ensuring that the age-appropriate healthcare needs of the adult, geriatric, pediatric and newborn population are provided by either coordinating directly, or in-servicing employees as mandated by all State and Federal Regulations, Joint Commission and other accrediting bodies. Applicants must demonstrate a high degree of personal integrity; skill and dedication in patient care; collaborative approach to relationships and problem-solving; technical skills in quality assurance and performance improvement; knowledge and understanding of the CMS standards and process; effective written and verbal communication; competency and professionalism as a medical practitioner; and basic understanding of medical care/hospital reimbursement systems and practices.

Familiarity with standards, regulations, requirements of Medicare, Medicaid, The Joint Commission, and procedures used in surveillance, and control of hospital infections desired.
